Internal Sales Consultant - Switchgear

About the role

Our client, a leading electrical industry player, is seeking an energetic Internal Sales Consultant to support the growing switchgear division. The role is ideal for someone with electrical sales experience who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer enquiries and sales requests.
• Prepare accurate quotations and pricing.
• Process customer orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Provide product information and technical guidance on switchgear, circuit breakers and distribution boards.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Liaise closely with external sales and technical teams.
• Follow up on quotations and outstanding orders.
• Ensure excellent customer service throughout the sales process.

Required profile

• Matric certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of internal sales experience.
• Experience in an electrical wholesaler, manufacturer or switchgear environment preferred.
• Good understanding of switchgear products, circuit breakers and distribution boards.
• Experience with quotations, order processing and customer service.
• Strong computer literacy and administrative skills.
