Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Auditor will support the design and implementation of Lula’s Internal Audit function within the Combined Assurance Department, operating under the three‑lines‑of‑defence model. The role provides independent, objective assurance on risk management, control environment, and governance processes, and collaborates closely with Risk Management and Compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in establishing the Internal Audit function, drafting governance documents and defining the coverage map.
• Collaborate with Risk Management and Compliance to prioritize risks and develop the Combined Assurance Plan for board approval.
• Develop and execute internal audit plans in line with IIA standards, including planning, fieldwork, evidence collection, and reporting.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports with root‑cause analysis and risk‑based recommendations.
• Work with business units to create remediation plans, monitor implementation, and ensure timely mitigation of identified risks.
• Provide additional assurance on regulatory compliance in partnership with the Compliance function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or a three‑year diploma in internal auditing, finance, accounting or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of relevant experience, preferably in an internal audit or risk assurance role.
• Strong understanding of the three‑lines‑of‑defence model and IIA standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
