Intern Psychometrist

About the role

The Intern Psychometrist will provide specialist occupational assessment services, advice and education across Nedbank to help business units achieve their human capital objectives. This role supports the development of competency‑based feedback and research initiatives within the psychology function.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) by fulfilling Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
• Identify trends and areas of concern by initiating research projects with assessment vendors and supervising psychologists.
• Write integrated competency‑based feedback reports for assessed individuals.
• Initiate validation studies, trend analysis and other research projects together with assessment providers and the supervising psychologist.
• Support the achievement of Nedbank’s business strategy, objectives and values through agile thinking and process improvement.
• Participate in corporate responsibility initiatives aligned with business strategy.

Required profile

• Honours degree in Psychology (or B‑Psych qualification) completed or in progress and ready for practicals.
• Open to candidates with no prior work experience.
• Willingness to stay current in the field, engage in research and maintain professional development.
