About the role
The municipality is seeking a Coordinator to manage the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) function. The role involves overseeing applications, procedures, and reporting to support sustainable development and improve quality of life for residents.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and manage the activities of the IDP division.
- Develop divisional vision, strategy and the municipality’s IDP in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Conduct secondary research on IDP‑related activities, government policies and programmes.
- Handle administrative recording, reporting and record‑keeping requirements.
- Manage day‑to‑day functioning of the IDP unit and lead the planning and coordination process.
Required profile
- A relevant three‑year tertiary qualification, preferably in Development Studies, Project Management, Urban Development or Municipal Administration.
- Three to five years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of public administration, local government operations and the King III report.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
