Insurance Claims Consultant – Non-Motor

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Non-Motor Claims Consultant to join our professional insurance team in Durban. The role involves managing and processing non‑motor insurance claims from initial notification through to final resolution while delivering excellent client service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and process non‑motor insurance claims in line with policy terms and service standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing status updates and addressing enquiries.
• Collect, review, and verify all documentation required to support claims.
• Assess claims for validity, coverage, and recommend appropriate settlements.
• Liaise with assessors, service providers, insurers, and other stakeholders to expedite resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, insurer mandates, and internal processes.
• Deliver high‑quality customer service to support positive client experiences.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant insurance‑related qualifications or certifications (e.g., NQF Level 4, RE5) are advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
