Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

OryxAlign is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to support a VIP client’s modern workplace environment. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing critical IT services across both on‑premise and cloud platforms while ensuring security, performance, and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line escalation support for incidents and service requests.
• Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and system health issues.
• Support migration and maintenance of workloads in Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Implement security, compliance, and identity configurations in Azure AD and M365.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrade and transformation projects.
• Document solutions, changes, and designs following OryxAlign standards.
• Maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Linux, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper‑V), storage, backup and DR environments.

Required profile

• Minimum Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent; IT‑related diploma or certificate preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure or systems engineering, preferably in an MSP or multi‑tenant environment.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft AZ‑104, MS‑102, AZ‑900, CompTIA Network+/Server+, VMware VCP or Hyper‑V, Windows Server, or Cisco CCNA are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
