Infrastructure Engineer – Core Infrastructure

About the role

Payward is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join its Core Infrastructure – Platforms team. You will help evolve and scale the OpenStack platform that underpins Kraken’s on‑premises and cloud environments, ensuring a reliable foundation for all workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and enhance OpenStack components (Nova, Neutron, Ironic) and Ceph storage systems.
• Handle feature requests, support tickets, and on‑call incidents for compute and storage platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex full‑stack issues alongside SRE, networking, and security teams.
• Develop automation and tooling to reduce operational toil.
• Document runbooks, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as an Infrastructure, Platform, or DevOps Engineer.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset for supporting engineering teams.
• Hands‑on experience building or maintaining a private OpenStack cloud or Ceph storage platform.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and Linux fundamentals.
