Industrial Electrician – Gauteng

About the role

This is an opportunity to join a highly motivated technical team supporting the safe and reliable operation of industrial plant across the Gauteng region. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical maintenance, fault‑finding and breakdowns, while also contributing to the development and training of apprentices and supporting formal training initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance, fault‑finding and breakdown repairs on industrial equipment.
• Develop and train apprentices, supporting formal training programmes.
• Provide standby duties and mitigate operational risk in plant operations.

Required profile

• Red Seal Trade Tested Electrician, Wireman’s Licence – advantageous.
• Grade 12 with minimum N4 TCS qualification.
• Strong industrial electrical fault‑finding experience.
• Experience in steam generation/boiler plants is highly advantageous.
• Exposure to coal, HFO, biomass, water‑treatment or similar processes.
• Technical understanding of 12 VDC–750 VAC systems.
• Basic PLC knowledge (Delta, Allen Bradley) advantageous.
• Experience with various VFDs/VSDs.
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
