Immigration Consultant

About the role

PwC is hiring an Immigration Consultant in South Africa, working in its Tax line of service. The Associate-level role sits within People and Organisation services, helping clients reset their talent strategies and improve their return on investment in human capital. The consultant manages immigration cases end to end, from assessment and initiation to submission and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assess applicable temporary and permanent residence categories and related compliance services, reviewing deliverables
• Write opinions and provide advisory services aligned to client business models
• Manage cases end to end, including assessment, initiation, review, monitoring and reporting against defined SLAs and KPIs
• Act as first point of contact for allocated clients and handle full reporting and financial recovery for the client portfolio
• Manage submissions with external stakeholders and collect outcomes
• Accompany clients to submit applications and collect outcomes as needed
• Work under pressure and tight deadlines, communicating with clients and external stakeholders including C-suite clients

Required profile

• 3 years of South African immigration experience
• University education
• Own transport is essential
• Government clearance required; work visa sponsorship is not available
• Travel of up to 20%

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the South African Immigration Act, regulations and prevailing practice
• Compliance assessment and supply chain / outsourcing experience in a compliance environment
• Proven project management and client relationship management experience
• Analytical, strategic thinking and attention to detail
