About the role
The ICT Technician will provide technical support for desktop computers, printers and the local area network within the Provincial Office of the Free State. The role includes managing IT service calls and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Provide desktop and printer support to end‑users.
- Manage IT service calls using the Information Technology Service Management system.
- Support and maintain the local area network (LAN).
Required profile
- Three‑year tertiary qualification in Information and Communication Technology or a related ICT qualification.
- At least 2 years of functional experience in an ICT environment.
- Application certification as required by the department.
Required skills
- Knowledge of operating systems and end‑user support procedures.
- Experience with Active Directory and backup technologies.
- Familiarity with ICT Service Management processes and technical standards.
