Human Resources Coordinator

About the role

Crescendo is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support HR processes and manage the HRIS at its Cape Town hub. This hybrid position offers the chance to work closely with the HR team, ensuring smooth administration of employee records, benefits, and onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to employee and candidate inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Process timesheets, coordinate with payroll, and administer benefits such as medical aid, pension, and provident funds.
• Prepare employment contracts, notices, and related documentation.
• Handle mailing, scanning, emailing, and accurate filing of employee records.
• Serve as the primary contact for daily staff queries, resolve minor grievances, and support industrial relations processes.
• Prepare new‑hire files, coordinate onboarding activities, and ensure HRIS access, bank enrollment, and building access.
• Support new‑hire orientation and ensure all onboarding requirements are met.
• Enroll employees in benefit programs and address related questions.
• Ensure compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, assist with Employment Equity and Skills Development reporting.
• Manage disciplinary processing, labor‑law compliance, CCMA requests, off‑boarding, and grievance resolution.
• Partner with internal stakeholders on HR projects, initiatives, and company events.

Required profile

• Resident of Cape Town, able to work on a hybrid schedule.
• National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
• Highly organized with strong time‑management abilities.
• Customer‑service mindset and willingness to roll up sleeves when needed.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
