Human Capital Management Officer

About the role

The Human Capital Management Officer will support the Park Manager at Mokala National Park by overseeing recruitment, employee data, performance management and wellness initiatives. The role is based on‑site with official accommodation provided within the park.

Key responsibilities

• Administer recruitment and selection processes, including adverts, short‑listing, interview coordination and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee data in SAGE 300 People Management Module.
• Coordinate induction sessions, exit procedures and leave management.
• Compile and submit monthly, quarterly and annual HCM reports.
• Support performance management, disciplinary hearings and investigations.
• Assist with employee wellness programmes, learning and development initiatives, and injury‑on‑duty claims.
• Provide guidance on HCM policies, labour relations and ensure compliance through audits.

Required profile

• National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Human Resource Management or equivalent; a degree in HR or Social Science is an advantage.
• 2–4 years of experience in a similar HCM role and at least 2 years in a clerical capacity.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of South African HR legislation (BCEA, EE, LRA, Skills Development Act).
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and handle confidential information.
