Human Capital Graduate

About the role

The Human Capital Graduate will support the Human Capital team across recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations and general administration. Reporting to the Human Capital Business Partner, this 12‑month fixed‑term position offers hands‑on experience in all core HR functions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the recruitment process: advertise vacancies, manage the applications database, schedule interviews and prepare interview packs.
• Assist with background checks, including reference, qualification, criminal and credit screening.
• Support new‑employee induction: complete IT activation/deactivation forms, arrange access cards, ID badges, parking permits and uniforms.
• Help organise training initiatives, update monthly training reports and assist with Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report submissions.
• Maintain disciplinary and grievance trackers, update employee files and organise internal/external meetings.
• Take minutes, update organograms and contribute to HR projects such as long‑service awards and employee wellness programmes.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Human Resource Management or related HR field (NQF Level 6).
• Strong planning, organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Professional, confident attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
