Huawei Network Presales Engineer

About the role

The Huawei Network Presales Engineer will act as the technical authority for Huawei networking solutions within the distribution channel. You will enable and support partners by delivering expert pre‑sales guidance, solution design, and technical mentorship, ensuring they can independently position, design, and deploy Huawei networking products.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct partner training and certification workshops on Huawei Datacom (Campus & Data Center), WLAN, and Network Security.
• Create enablement materials such as solution playbooks, topology templates, competitive comparison documents, and technical white papers.
• Manage a demo lab environment for partners to test Huawei hardware and software.
• Provide Level‑2 technical pre‑sales support, translating customer requirements into secure, high‑performance network designs.
• Design network architectures across campus, branch, data‑center, and WAN; produce accurate Bills of Materials and technical justifications.
• Assist partners in planning and executing Proof‑of‑Concept projects.
• Offer high‑level troubleshooting and optimisation guidance during the pre‑sales phase.
• Contribute to RFP/RFQ responses, ensuring technical compliance and differentiation.
• Liaise with Huawei’s local networking team to stay current on product roadmaps, VRP releases, and security patches.
• Gather market intelligence and feedback on competitive threats.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Huawei networking portfolio, including Datacom, WLAN, and Network Security.
• Experience delivering technical training and certification (HCIA‑Datacom, HCIP‑Datacom) to partner engineering teams.
• Proven ability to design complex network architectures and produce detailed Bills of Materials.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for high‑level pre‑sales troubleshooting.
