HR Professional – Potchefstroom

About the role

The company is seeking a motivated and responsible HR professional to join its team in Potchefstroom, supporting the motor and tyre industry operations. This full‑time position involves managing all core HR functions and ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee relations, disciplinary procedures, grievances, contracts, leave and attendance.
• Process monthly and weekly payroll, handle payroll administration and employee queries.
• Ensure accurate statutory submissions and compliance (UIF, PAYE, SDL, etc.).
• Administer pension/provident fund contributions and related submissions.
• Oversee MIBCO and other industry‑specific HR requirements where applicable.
• Take responsibility for Health & Safety (OHS) functions, including inspections, risk assessments, training and corrective actions.

• Comfortable dealing with employees at all levels.
• Strong conflict‑resolution and problem‑solving abilities.
• Capable of working under pressure in a busy environment.
• Willing to grow with the company and take on additional responsibilities.

Required skills

• HR qualification or degree in Human Resources Management.
• Previous experience in an HR environment.
• Good knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR procedures.
• Strong administration and communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Experience with Sage Payroll (advantageous).
