HR Practitioner – Performance Management & KPIs

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on HR Practitioner with strong generalist HR knowledge and a particular strength in KPI development and performance management. The role will initially focus on implementing and managing performance management processes at the head office, with the scope expanding to branches and the wider group over time.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement KPI frameworks aligned with business objectives.
• Facilitate performance reviews, monitor results and identify performance gaps.
• Support managers with performance improvement plans and employee accountability.
• Provide generalist HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, disciplinary matters and grievances.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation and HR policies.
• Assist with HR policies, procedures, training and employee development.
• Prepare HR and performance reports and identify opportunities to improve processes.
• Support the standardisation of HR and performance management practices across the group.
• Travel to branches as required to support implementation and engage with management.

Required profile

• Relevant HR qualification.
• Solid experience in an HR Practitioner or HR Generalist role.
• Proven experience in KPI development and performance management.
• Good knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience handling employee relations and advising managers on HR matters.
• Strong analytical, administrative, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
