HR Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive HR Officer to support a hospitality organisation in KuGompo City. The role focuses on employee relations, payroll administration, and benefits coordination, ensuring a smooth and compliant HR operation.

Key responsibilities

• Verify employee attendance registers against the Uniclox system and generate time‑card reports for overtime.
• Monitor missed punches, absenteeism, and manage fingerprint clock‑in data.
• Onboard new staff in Uniclox and capture biometric data.
• Prepare and coordinate monthly payroll using Sage, including loading new employee data.
• Maintain leave records, medical aid reconciliation, and employee benefits within Sage.
• Administer leave documentation and filing.
• Process medical aid and pension fund applications, withdrawals, and liaise with service providers.
• Lead recruitment and selection activities.
• Develop and manage employment contracts and office policies.
• Handle company grievances, attend CCMA hearings, and manage union‑related matters.
• Provide general administrative support to executive management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HR role.
• Relevant HR qualification (e.g., HR diploma or degree).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Uniclox HR system.
• Experience using Sage payroll software.
