HR Manager – South Africa

About the role

The HR Manager for Nortech Systems Africa will develop and execute human‑resources strategies that support the company’s regional growth objectives. The role ensures compliance with South African labour legislation, drives Employment Equity (EE) and BBBEE initiatives, and builds a diverse, high‑performing workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies and policies aligned with business goals.
• Lead EE and BBBEE compliance, reporting and achievement of strategic milestones.
• Oversee end‑to‑end talent acquisition, innovative sourcing and onboarding programmes.
• Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary processes and engagement initiatives.
• Assess skills gaps, coordinate training, and compile annual training reports for the labour department.
• Administer compensation, benefits, pension/Provident fund claims and tax schedules.
• Maintain accurate HR records, ensure data confidentiality and support HRIS systems.
• Drive diversity, inclusion and transformation initiatives, monitoring progress against targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (post‑graduate preferred).
• 7‑10 years of HR experience with deep knowledge of South African employment law, EE and BBBEE.
• Previous managerial or leadership role within an African or South African organisation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Experience with HRIS systems.
