HR Generalist – Johannesburg North

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join a leading medical equipment supplier in Johannesburg North. The role involves delivering end‑to‑end HR services across the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation and supporting the business’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment cycle – from requisition, job advertising and interviewing to offer and verification.
• Coordinate onboarding, HRIS setup and induction programmes.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS updates, reporting and job profiles.
• Support learning and development initiatives, including study bursaries, SETA administration and LMS promotion.
• Prepare payroll inputs, administer benefits such as medical aid and pension funds, and keep confidential payroll records.
• Drive employee wellness programmes and internal communications.
• Assist with industrial relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and CCMA processes, and advise managers on labour law compliance.

Required profile

• Matriculation plus a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or a related field.
• Minimum three years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in FMCG, pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience in recruitment, payroll and benefits administration.
• Exposure to HR audits and industrial relations is advantageous.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE Act).
• Proficiency with SAP and other HRIS platforms.
• Strong command of MS Office applications.
