HR Business Partner / HR Director – Core Business Unit

About the role

This position is for an experienced HR Business Partner or HR Director who will lead people strategy for a core business unit in a globally distributed, technology‑driven environment. Based in South Africa, you will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, shaping employee experience across the employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to align workforce effectiveness with strategic objectives.
• Design and implement HR strategies that support growth, engagement and organizational priorities.
• Oversee workforce planning, staffing, and talent acquisition to ensure the right talent and structure.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, development, performance, succession and off‑boarding.
• Drive engagement and retention initiatives, fostering a positive work environment.
• Maintain HR processes, policies and compliance while improving operational efficiency.
• Monitor HR metrics (engagement, turnover, efficiency) and provide data‑driven insights.
• Lead HR projects, balancing strategic goals with day‑to‑day execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Director in an international digital, technology or fast‑growing company.
• Proven track record implementing end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes.
• Strong ability to analyse HR metrics and use data to influence decisions.
• Experience with compensation and benefits data to improve employee experience.
