HR Assistant (Remote, US Hours)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive HR Assistant to support our HR department remotely while working US EST hours. The role involves handling day‑to‑day HR operations, payroll queries, background checks, and employee onboarding/offboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative support across HR functions.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Conduct employee background checks and manage related documentation.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Update employee records, schedule changes, and cancellations in company systems.
• Respond to employee HR questions and guide them on policies.
• Assist with HR reporting, data entry, and documentation management.
• Support HR projects aimed at improving processes and employee experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR administration or coordination.
• Strong understanding of the employee lifecycle and payroll support.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with high attention to detail.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using HR information systems.
