HR and Payroll Manager (Swellendam)

About the role

BVSA Konsult is seeking an experienced HR and Payroll Manager to lead both client payroll services and internal HR functions. The role combines strategic HR leadership with hands‑on payroll administration for a dynamic team in Swellendam.

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage client payroll using PaySpace, ensuring accurate statutory deductions.
• Administer employee tax obligations, including EMP201 returns, EMP501 reconciliations and IRP5 certificates.
• Handle UIF, COIDA/Compensation Fund registrations, amendments and compliance.
• Provide payroll advice and support to clients.
• Oversee the full HR lifecycle for BVSA staff – recruitment, onboarding, contracts, records, policies and termination.
• Manage disciplinary processes, grievances and labour‑relations matters.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation and promote positive employee relations.

Required profile

• Qualification in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations or a related field.
• Minimum three years of HR and payroll administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation, PAYE, UIF and COIDA.
• Excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills.
• High professional ethics and ability to handle confidential information.
