HPE Networking Territory Manager

About the role

HPE is looking for a Networking Territory Manager in Johannesburg. The role is designed as onsite, with the expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE partner or customer office. It is an expert-level sales position acting as the single point of contact for several large named accounts in an assigned country, territory and/or industry, focusing on computers, servers, storage, services and printers.

Key responsibilities

• Build growth opportunities through the account planning process, with scheduled reviews and updates.
• Work extensively with external partners to deliver solution sales.
• Spend a significant amount of time with customers, from management level upwards, and develop business plans with them.
• Use consultative selling to create ongoing profitable revenue growth and maintain customer loyalty and trust.
• Manage quarterly, half-yearly and annual quotas and margins, and enter opportunities in the pipeline tool weekly.
• Implement margin recovery strategies and recommend industry-leading pipeline management practices.
• Act as first interface for international accounts with global and local teams, and choose between Volume Direct and Indirect supply chains.

Required profile

• University or bachelor's degree.
• Typically 8-12 years of experience, with industry experience and experience in product specialties such as computers, printers, servers and storage.
• Viewed as an expert in the company, sought out by other sales representatives and managers.

Required skills

• Leadership, time management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Advanced sales negotiation and deal closing skills.
• End-to-end sales process management in large deals and partner organization intelligence.
• Ability to build relationships at management and executive levels and to sell across platform and specialty.
