Housekeeping Attendant

About the role

Babylonstoren is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation in guest rooms, public areas and other facilities. The role calls for efficiency, attention to detail and a commitment to exceptional guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, offices and public areas according to established standards.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop and sanitize surfaces.
• Make beds and replace linen and towels as required.
• Replenish guest amenities and consumable supplies.
• Remove waste and make sure bins are emptied regularly.

Required profile

• Grade 10 or Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is advantageous.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is beneficial but not always essential.
• Good physical health and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail, reliability and punctuality, time management, teamwork, guest service orientation, cleanliness and organization, responsibility and integrity.
