About the role

The President Hotel is seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our guests. You will manage daily front‑office operations, ensure smooth check‑ins and check‑outs, and help create memorable stays for a diverse international clientele.

Key responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with warmth, confidence and professional grooming.
  • Process check‑ins, check‑outs and reservations efficiently using OPERA PMS.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, requests and provide accurate hotel information.
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain accurate guest profiles, bookings and billing details.
  • Perform cashiering duties and manage daily front‑office administration.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments to fulfil guest needs.
  • Monitor arrivals, departures, room allocations and special requests.
  • Uphold Front Office standards, SOPs and keep the reception area tidy.
  • Support the Front Office team to ensure seamless hotel operations.

Required profile

  • Matric (Grade 12) certificate; hospitality qualification or diploma is an advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a hotel front office or reception environment.
  • Previous experience as a Hotel Receptionist or Front Office Receptionist preferred.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with OPERA PMS.
  • High computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in a busy 4‑star or 5‑star hotel is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and guest‑service skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
  • Professional grooming and presentation.
