About the role

The President Hotel is seeking a personable and professional Hotel Receptionist to be the first point of contact for guests. You will manage the front‑office operations, ensure smooth check‑ins and check‑outs, and help create memorable stays for an international clientele.

Key responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with warmth, confidence and professional courtesy.
  • Process check‑ins, check‑outs and billing efficiently using OPERA PMS.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, requests and complaints promptly.
  • Maintain accurate guest profiles, bookings and room allocations.
  • Handle cashiering procedures and daily front‑office administration.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments to fulfil guest needs.
  • Uphold Front Office standards, SOPs and keep the reception area tidy.
  • Support the Front Office team to ensure seamless hotel operations.

Required profile

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12) – minimum.
  • At least 2 years experience in a hotel front‑office or reception role, preferably in a 4‑star/5‑star property.
  • Previous experience as a Hotel Receptionist or Front Office Receptionist is preferred.
  • Professional grooming, ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

  • Strong hands‑on experience with OPERA PMS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High level of computer literacy.
