Hotel Manager

About the role

A client of ARVO is looking for an experienced, senior hotel manager in Franschhoek, Western Cape, South Africa. This is a senior leadership role in a fast-paced luxury hospitality setting, overseeing day-to-day operations and responsible for high-quality service, financial performance and an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel.
• Manage and coordinate sales and marketing, housekeeping, front office, tour guides, leisure services, human resources and finance.
• Manage budgets and achieve agreed financial targets.
• Monitor quality standards and ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
• Drive staff motivation, development and performance management, and build a strong, service-focused team.
• Manage guest expectations and oversee the resolution of customer feedback.
• Identify opportunities to continuously improve hotel performance and the guest experience.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification.
• At least 5 years' senior management experience in the hospitality industry.
• Fluency in both Afrikaans and English.
• Experience in revenue management, including optimising bookings during high and low seasons.
• Ability to travel internationally.
