Hotel Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Hotel Manager to lead the daily operations of Pezula Nature Retreat in Knysna. The role combines operational excellence with a guest‑focused culture in a nature‑led, wellness‑oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support operational teams across all departments through Heads of Department.
• Ensure consistent service standards and smooth daily operations.
• Build a guest‑focused culture through coaching and accountability.
• Manage guest feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee budgets, cost controls and operational performance.
• Maintain compliance, quality standards and property readiness.
• Collaborate closely with the wider Village n Life leadership team.

Required profile

• Hospitality management qualification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Hotel Manager or senior hospitality leader.
• Background in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of rooms, food & beverage and guest service.
• Financial understanding and operational discipline.
• Confident leader with excellent communication skills.
• Hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
