About the role
A well-established restaurant serving sushi, seafood and premium steaks in Durban is looking for a polished, professional Hostess/Cashier to be the first face its guests see. The role combines welcoming guests, managing the floor and handling cash register duties.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests with warmth and professionalism
- Manage reservations and the flow of the floor
- Handle cashier duties accurately, including payments and till reconciliation
- Work closely with the waiting and kitchen teams to ensure a seamless guest experience
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a hostess, cashier or in a similar front-of-house role, preferably in a quality restaurant
- Impeccably groomed and presentable
- Energetic, confident and well-spoken, able to make guests feel valued
- Able to work under pressure and multitask during busy service
- Reliable and flexible, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
