Food and Beverage Restaurant Manager - Durban

About the role

MJM Recruitment is hiring a Food and Beverage Restaurant Manager in Durban. The manager leads and organises the restaurant team, sets and maintains standards while keeping budget and gross profit, and operates within the policies and procedures set out in the operating manual.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive the highest level of food and beverage service by checking customer satisfaction
• Maintain a high standard of personal service with all guests
• Take personal responsibility for guest situations and see them through to a solution
• Make sure the outlet follows correct billing procedures so revenue is correctly allocated and recorded
• Promote and maximise sales

Required profile

• 2 years' experience in the same or similar role in a 5-star establishment
• Previous stock control experience
• Team leader with excellent staff relations and the ability to manage and lead a team
• Well groomed, reliable, courteous and flexible; able to multi-task and work under pressure
• Problem-solving, attention to detail and charisma
• A certificate or diploma in hotel management is an advantage
