Hospital Sales Representative – KZN

About the role

We are seeking a Hospital Sales Representative to cover the KwaZulu‑Natal territory from Durban. The role focuses on driving revenue growth for a portfolio of gastrointestinal, respiratory, endo‑therapy, infection‑prevention and capital equipment solutions within both public and private hospitals.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales targets across assigned product lines and territory.
• Develop and execute territory sales plans, identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts.
• Manage capital equipment sales cycles from prospecting through quotation, negotiation and closing.
• Provide product demonstrations, in‑service training and clinical support to healthcare professionals.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for GI, respiratory, endo‑therapy and infection‑prevention solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with clinicians, nursing staff, procurement teams and hospital management, including development of key opinion leaders.
• Handle customer queries, complaints and after‑sales support, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
• Promote the full solution offering, including consumables and service contracts, and identify cross‑selling opportunities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Medical Sciences, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Sales or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in medical‑device sales or a comparable healthcare environment.
• Proven track record selling endoscopy, infection‑prevention or capital equipment solutions.
• Experience working with both public and private healthcare professionals.
• Strong understanding of hospital procurement processes and ability to meet sales targets.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the KZN territory and a valid driver’s licence.
