Hospital Laundry Assistant

About the role
The Laundry Assistant supports the smooth operation of hospital services by handling in‑house and outsourced laundry efficiently. You will ensure high standards of cleanliness, quality, and turnaround times while following established procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Wash, dry and process all in‑house laundry accurately and within required timeframes.
- Collect dirty linen from wards and distribute clean linen promptly.
- Count and verify clean laundry against documentation.
- Complete and maintain paperwork for outsourced laundry services.
- Conduct professional handover of dirty linen and receipt of clean linen.
Required profile
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Preferably some experience in a laundry environment.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
Required skills
- Knowledge of and experience with laundry machinery.
