About the role
We are seeking a skilled Horizontal Boring Mill Operator to join an engineering company based in Benoni, with immediate availability. The role focuses on conventional (non‑CNC) boring operations to achieve precise tolerances as defined by technical drawings.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and operate a horizontal boring mill for conventional machining tasks.
- Perform boring operations to achieve required tolerances.
- Interpret and follow engineering drawings and specifications.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any mechanical issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on the shop floor.
Required profile
- Proven experience operating a horizontal boring mill in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to bore components to exact tolerances.
- Capability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Strong references confirming past performance.
