Home Manager – Elderly Care Facility

About the role

The Home Manager will lead an elderly care residence in Parow North, reporting directly to the Governing Board. The role focuses on translating the strategic vision into daily operations, ensuring a safe, friendly environment for residents and expanding community‑based services for older persons.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise nursing care services and ensure high‑quality resident support.
• Oversee financial and human‑resource functions, including budgeting and payroll.
• Develop and execute marketing, communication, and fundraising initiatives to sustain services.
• Manage assets, maintenance, and occupational health & safety programmes.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners, and community organisations.

Required profile

• Post‑matric qualification with proven management experience.
• Ability to lead, motivate teams and resolve problems promptly.
• Knowledge of personnel and financial management, labour legislation, fundraising and marketing.
• Experience in social care or development work is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Computer literacy (e.g., standard office software).
