Head of Operations

About the role

Reporting to the Director, the Head of Operations will lead and optimise daily business activities, driving efficiency, productivity and profitability across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily operations to maximise efficiency and profitability.
• Develop, implement and monitor strategic operational processes that support business objectives and sustainable growth.
• Prepare, manage and control departmental and organisational budgets.
• Lead, mentor and supervise staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, health, safety and company policies.
• Analyse and optimise workflows, systems and procedures to improve performance and resource utilisation.
• Coordinate activities across all departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
• Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics, taking corrective actions when needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction and operational efficiencies.
• Support executive management in strategic planning, business development and decision-making.
• Manage operational risks and implement controls to safeguard assets and business continuity.
• Drive continuous-improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Relevant business or operations management qualification.
• 4–6 years’ experience in production, manufacturing or a similar role handling furniture production, fit-out, shopfitting or expos.
