Head: Balance Sheet Management (Non-Life)

About the role

The organisation is a leading non‑life insurance provider seeking a senior professional to lead its Balance Sheet Management function. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the Head will oversee actuarial reserving, capital modelling, solvency assessments and regulatory reporting, ensuring the company’s financial stability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the actuarial team responsible for IFRS reserving, SAM capital modelling and technical provisions.
• Oversee ORSA solvency assessments and ensure robust capital management practices.
• Prepare and submit regulatory and financial reports to auditors, regulators and senior business stakeholders.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the Balance Sheet Management function.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including auditors, regulators and internal senior leaders.

Required profile

• Qualified Actuary with 5–8 years of experience, preferably in non‑life insurance.
• 2–3 years of people‑management experience, demonstrating ability to lead and develop actuarial teams.
• Strong understanding of IFRS reserving, SAM capital modelling, technical provisions and ORSA.
• Proven track record in regulatory reporting, capital management and financial reporting within the insurance sector.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
