Handyman – Maintenance & Repair Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Handyman to join our Johannesburg team, responsible for a wide range of maintenance, repair and improvement tasks across residential, commercial and industrial properties. The role involves responding promptly to work orders, ensuring safety and compliance while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair work on buildings, equipment and fixtures.
• Fix plumbing issues such as leaks, clogged drains and faulty fixtures.
• Carry out basic electrical repairs, including replacing switches, outlets and light fixtures.
• Conduct carpentry tasks, repairing doors, cabinets and furniture.
• Paint and patch walls, ceilings and other surfaces.
• Install shelves, fixtures and other building components.
• Inspect facilities, identify maintenance needs and respond promptly to requests.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in good condition.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry and painting.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good physical fitness and capacity to lift heavy objects.
• Valid driver’s licence (preferred).
• Excellent time‑management and communication skills.
