Guest Experience Host

About the role

We are looking for a warm, engaging Guest Experience Host to join the President Hotel team in Cape Town. In this role you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring every stay is personalised, seamless and memorable from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main liaison for guests, delivering a tailored arrival‑to‑departure experience.
• Anticipate guest needs, provide recommendations and resolve issues with professional service recovery.
• Coordinate special requests, celebrations and VIP arrangements in partnership with relevant departments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Cape Town attractions, dining and cultural experiences to enhance guest stays.
• Collaborate closely with Front Office, Concierge and F&B teams to ensure consistent service excellence.
• Update and manage guest profiles and preferences to support repeat visits.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years guest relations or front‑of‑house experience in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel.
• Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of guest service, VIP hosting and complaint handling.
• Well‑presented, professional and confident when interacting with high‑profile guests.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• South African citizen with a valid ID.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Opera PMS.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office.
