Group Head – Property Management

About the role

The Group Head – Property will provide overall strategic leadership, governance and oversight of the City’s property portfolio. The role ensures effective optimisation, development and management of municipal assets to support strategic objectives, service delivery and financial sustainability while maximising commercial opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and governance of Group Property across the City.
• Direct and manage the City’s property portfolio to optimise use, development and financial performance.
• Oversee property management services including facilities, revenue, contract and investment management.
• Provide property asset management and advisory services to internal and external stakeholders.
• Deliver management and administrative support for all property‑related functions.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Built Environment, Property Studies, Real Estate Management, Property Valuation or LLB.
• At least 12 years’ experience in property management and development, with a minimum of five years in senior management, preferably in local government.
• Strong knowledge of policy, legislation, performance management, governance and supply‑chain regulations.
• Valid Code B driving licence and no criminal record; ability to undergo security vetting and competency assessment.
