Group Finance Manager – FP&A

About the role

The Group Finance Manager – FP&A will lead financial planning, performance analysis and governance across Aspen’s business units. The role partners with site and group leadership to improve profitability, working capital, costing and investment decisions while ensuring consistent finance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate financial performance across business units, identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
• Coordinate annual budgets, forecasts and five‑year financial plans, ensuring alignment with group objectives.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and year‑end performance reports and board packs.
• Provide financial assessments for strategic projects, acquisitions, restructurings and capital investments.
• Oversee compliance with group financial policies, accounting standards and internal controls, and manage audit processes.
• Identify and implement standardisation, automation and continuous‑improvement initiatives for FP&A processes.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent professional finance qualification with SAICA or similar membership.
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in financial management, FP&A or operational finance, preferably in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning, performance management and business partnering.
• Strong track record of evaluating strategic initiatives, capital projects and business cases.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems, consolidation, planning and business intelligence tools.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting and tax legislation.
