Group Finance Accountant

About the role

The Group Finance Accountant will support the Group Finance team in delivering accurate reporting, consolidations, and financial statements. This position offers exposure to group reporting, automation projects, and strategic finance initiatives within a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with monthly group reporting and consolidations.
• Prepare and analyse management accounts and board reporting packs.
• Support interim and annual financial reporting requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements.
• Coordinate the external audit process.
• Manage B‑BBEE reporting and verification processes.
• Prepare debtors risk assessment reports.
• Perform financial analysis and investigate reporting variances.
• Drive reporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support ad‑hoc accounting, finance and reporting projects.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles advantageous.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and IFRS expertise.
• Experience in financial reporting and annual financial statements.
• Attention to detail and ability to take ownership of tasks.
