Graphic Designer / Art Director – Fashion Retail

About the role

Truworths is seeking a talented Graphic Designer who will also act as an Art Director to shape visual communication across its fashion brands. The role is based in Cape Town and requires a strong sense of style, creativity, and the ability to translate brand strategy into compelling design.

Key responsibilities

• Concept, moodboard creation and art direction for fashion photoshoots across multiple brands.
• End‑to‑end design execution for print and digital marketing assets, including in‑store signage, packaging, social media content, email templates and website layouts.
• Ensure all visual work aligns with brand positioning and guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with the Design Manager to maintain consistency and quality.
• Continuously generate innovative ideas and concepts for campaigns.

Required profile

• Creative and detail‑oriented Art Director/Graphic Designer with a passion for fashion.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in art direction and graphic design.
• Retail fashion experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with generative content tools and on‑set art direction for photography and videography.
• Up‑to‑date with fashion industry trends and strong understanding of print, digital and UI fundamentals.
