About the role
The Grain Manager will ensure the sustainable, profitable and effective management of OVK's grain department, driving strategic growth and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic management of the OVK grain division.
- Management of finances, customer service, personnel and market share.
- Overall management of grain operation and marketing processes.
Required profile
- Appropriate B degree or diploma in Agriculture.
- Minimum 5 years management experience.
- 10 years experience in the grain industry (recommended).
- Safex trading certificate (recommended).
Required skills
- Good understanding of grain trading and future market operations.
- Ability to analyse management statements.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Analytical accounting insight.
- Business insight.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
- Margin management.
- Budget management.
