About the role

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (KZN EDTEA) is offering a structured 24‑month Graduate Internship Programme for the 2027‑2029 intake. A total of 138 internship positions are available across 43 advertised streams, covering areas such as administration, finance, human resources, information technology, tourism, environmental management, law, and supply chain management. The programme is aimed at unemployed graduates seeking practical workplace experience in the public sector.

Required profile

Unemployed graduate holding a degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Public Administration, Law, Accounting, IT, Tourism, Environmental Management, etc.).
Must meet the specific qualification criteria for the chosen stream as listed in the programme announcement.

What we offer

Monthly stipend/allowance throughout the 24‑month internship.
Placement at various locations across KwaZulu‑Natal, including Durban, Pietermaritzburg and district offices.
