Graduate Internship – Financial Advisor (24 months)

About the role

PPS Insurance offers a 24‑month graduate internship programme for aspiring financial advisors, starting in February. The role equips graduates to provide professional financial advice as accredited PPS representatives, recorded on the FSCA register.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and generate prospective client leads through outbound and cold‑calling activities.
• Build a professional network and sustainable business within the graduate professional market, both in person and via social media.
• Meet prospective clients (in person or virtually), prepare tailored proposals and financial solutions, and manage onboarding and after‑sales support.
• Provide needs‑based financial advice on long‑term insurance, wills, and investments, and organise small marketing events at client offices.
• Develop and grow a personal client portfolio over the programme duration.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) and a completed NQF Level 7 qualification (bachelor’s degree, BTech or advanced diploma). Preference for postgraduate diploma or honours in Financial Planning.
• South African citizen, under 34 years old, with no prior insurance‑industry graduate programme experience. Must hold or complete the qualification by 2026.
