About the role

Mediclinic Sandton is seeking an experienced Geriatrician and Specialist Physician to join its multidisciplinary team. The position is based in the hospital’s state‑of‑the‑art facilities in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg, providing comprehensive care to adult patients, including those in intensive and high‑care units.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality geriatric and specialist medical services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with paediatric, neonatal, and intensive care teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to hospital governance standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree with specialist registration in geriatrics or a related field.
• Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• Proven experience in a private hospital environment.
• Commitment to patient‑centred care and continuous improvement.
