General Worker – Production Support (2 positions)

About the role

We are looking for two General Workers to support daily operations in our food manufacturing facility. The role involves handling dried fruit products, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Sort, grade, and pack dried fruit according to established quality criteria.
• Keep workstations clean and follow housekeeping schedules.
• Assist with receiving, handling, and storing raw materials and finished goods.
• Identify and report product defects, contamination risks, or equipment issues.
• Follow production schedules, meet output targets, and record information for traceability.
• Participate in stock counts and inventory control activities.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Comply with company policies, EHS and QFS standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to perform manual labour and stand for extended periods.
• Physically fit and able to lift moderate weights.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and overtime as needed.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, including HACCP principles.
• Experience or familiarity with production equipment (beneficial but not essential).
