General Worker – Cleanliness & Safety in Sugar Cane Logistics

About the role

The General Worker ensures that all areas within sugar‑cane logistics operations remain clean, hygienic and safe. You will work across harvesting zones, loading bays, workshops, machine yards, offices, ablution blocks and stores, keeping environments free from debris, cane residue, mud, spills and other hazards.

Key responsibilities

• Remove waste, cane debris and mud from high‑traffic and equipment‑heavy zones.
• Maintain clean and dry surfaces to improve visibility and reduce slip‑trip risks.
• Prevent blockages that could impede the movement of cane loaders, tractors, haulage trucks and mechanical harvesters.
• Support compliance with health, safety and operational standards by reporting hazards promptly.
• Assist in routine upkeep of sanitation facilities and storage areas.

Required profile

• Physical stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks in outdoor and indoor settings.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to follow established safety procedures and guidelines.
