General Manager – Operations (Caribbean)

About the role

The General Manager – Operations Division will lead planning, execution, and performance of multiple construction and engineering projects across the Caribbean. You will ensure operational efficiency, profitability, safety compliance, and delivery excellence while collaborating with executive leadership, project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the portfolio of construction and engineering projects.
• Oversee project execution covering safety, quality, budgets, schedules, and operational performance.
• Manage equipment operations, maintenance planning, and utilization efficiency.
• Provide leadership to Project Managers, contractors, and operational teams.
• Monitor project financials, reporting, forecasting, and operational metrics.
• Lead contract administration and support dispute resolution when required.
• Drive operational improvements, efficiency initiatives, and business growth opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent is advantageous.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering, construction management, and project operations.
• Strong leadership experience within large‑scale construction or infrastructure environments.
• Solid knowledge of contract administration, project management, and engineering practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using MS Project or similar project management tools.
