Game Farm Manager or Management Couple

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Game Farm Manager or a management couple to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our Karoo game farm. This live‑in, permanent position combines wildlife management, sustainable hunting, guest accommodation, and authentic Karoo hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of game farm operations, including hunting activities and wildlife management.
• Manage guest accommodation, hospitality services, and ensure memorable guest experiences.
• Lead farm staff and contractors, coordinating schedules, training, and performance.
• Maintain infrastructure such as fences, roads, water systems, vehicles, and farm buildings.
• Ensure compliance with conservation, hunting, and safety regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, record‑keeping, and operational planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in game farm, hunting lodge, safari lodge, or hospitality management.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Passion for wildlife, conservation, hunting, and rural living.
• Practical, hands‑on problem‑solver with a valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to live on‑site in a remote environment, hold a valid SAPS competency certificate, be medically fit, and have a clear criminal record.
